Things Are Looking Brighter!

Following the latest UK government update with regards to Covid-19 restrictions being lifted from the 19th July, we are of course pleased about returning to a more relaxed way of operating. Our Club has always been very sociable, friendly, and very much a part of the local community. The past 16 months have felt very different with restrictions in place. At times this has been challenging to maintain the Club atmosphere we all love and enjoy.

Your Support

With all the above in mind, the team and I wish to thank you for your continued support throughout the pandemic. Many of you continued to pay membership throughout lockdown; you adhered to the guidelines; you have worked with us to find solutions to keep things relaxed; you volunteered to maintain the Club; you have been honest with us about how you are feeling, and you have communicated respectfully with us on what might help keep our Club, “Letchworth’s Best Kept Secret”.  We couldn’t have done it and didn’t get through this without you, thank you.

Exciting New Club Development

We are very excited to let you know that The Orchard restaurant and bar are now operating at the club. Both Harriet and Steven Mitchell bring a wealth of experience and passion in providing their customers with fresh food and drink, and have been successful in running two other sites prior to joining us. Following much member feedback, we believe this will be a fantastic addition to the Club and provide our members with an area of the Club they can relax and enjoy, and feel proud to bring friends and family to join them in their Club. Please read the latest message from Harriet and Steven on the website under Restaurant & Bar

Welcome To Letchworth Sports and Tennis Club (LSTC)

Our History

LSTC is a traditional family club with generations of many families that continue to play today. The Club has a great history with the original outdoor club starting in 1905. Members of the outdoor club assisted in the move to the new indoor and outdoor facility in 2005, some becoming board members and most still active members today. The facilities and surroundings at the club are family friendly with CCTV and entrance/exit at the reception desk to ensure a safe environment for members and enabling children to play freely within the facility.

The club supports various charities and chooses one main charity a year to further support throughout the year. Over the past few years, the club has supported Blood Runners, Child Autism, Cancer Hair Care and this year it's East Anglian Air Ambulance. Regular social events play an important role in integrating members of all ages and backgrounds.  The club continues to be a prominent club within Hertfordshire and the East Region with Mini, junior, adult and veteran teams competing throughout the year in local, county, regional and national team competitions.

Everyone Welcome

LSTC is a member’s club which is also very much open to the public. Every week of the year, various local groups and individuals use the facility including badminton clubs, the Letchworth Arts and Leisure Group (table tennis and mini tennis) ballet, karate, street dance and various local schools for tennis and gym.
