Welcome To Letchworth Sports and Tennis Club (LSTC)
LSTC is a traditional family club with generations of many families that continue to play today. The Club has a great history with the original outdoor club starting in 1905. Members of the outdoor club assisted in the move to the new indoor and outdoor facility in 2005, some becoming board members and most still active members today. The facilities and surroundings at the club are family friendly with CCTV and entrance/exit at the reception desk to ensure a safe environment for members and enabling children to play freely within the facility.
The club supports various charities and chooses one main charity a year to further support throughout the year. Over the past few years, the club has supported Blood Runners, Child Autism, Cancer Hair Care and this year it's East Anglian Air Ambulance. Regular social events play an important role in integrating members of all ages and backgrounds. The club continues to be a prominent club within Hertfordshire and the East Region with Mini, junior, adult and veteran teams competing throughout the year in local, county, regional and national team competitions.
LSTC is a member’s club which is also very much open to the public. Every week of the year, various local groups and individuals use the facility including badminton clubs, the Letchworth Arts and Leisure Group (table tennis and mini tennis) ballet, karate, street dance and various local schools for tennis and gym. The club also offers disability tennis and wheelchair tennis within the community programme as well as park tennis and an extensive schools tennis programme visiting primary and secondary schools Monday to Friday.

Membership & Programme
The club is a not for profit organisation who maintain affordable fees with approximately 500 tennis members and around 1100 members in total. With the club able to offer other racket sport opportunities for members including squash, badminton and table tennis, this supports the club’s athletic philosophy with regards to building a wide range of ABC and athletic skills, to enhance tennis development.
Through its outreach sessions in the park, affordable pay and play tennis for juniors and adults has also enabled those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds to engage with the club.
This team delivers a mini and junior coaching programme 7 days a week during school term, alongside individual coaching, fitness sessions and an outreach programme. Adult coaching is available during the week and Saturday’s, with the addition of adult coaching courses during holiday times. Junior and adult club nights each week provide further practice in a relaxed, social environment.
