Letchworth Sports & Tennis Club
LSTC is a traditional family club with generations of many families that continue to play today. The Club has a great history with the original outdoor club starting in 1905.
Members of the outdoor club assisted in the move to the new indoor and outdoor facility in 2005, many are still active members today. The facilities and surroundings at the club are family friendly with CCTV and entrance/exit at the reception desk to ensure a safe environment for members and enabling children to play freely within the facility.
LSTC is a member’s club which is also very much open to the public. Every week of the year, various local groups and individuals use the facility to enjoy badminton, table tennis, pickleball, short tennis, yoga and various local schools for tennis and gym.
Tennis at LSTc
At Letchworth Sports & Tennis Club we have a total of 11 tennis courts including 3 indoor, 3 artificial clay, 5 TigerTurf, 1 of which can also be divided into 4 mini courts.
We run a fully comprehensive tennis programme across the year for both adults and children, as well as children’s camps and parties.
Our regular Club events and weekly social groups play an important role in integrating members of all ages and backgrounds.
The club continues to be a prominent club within Hertfordshire and the East Region with Mini, junior, adult and veteran teams competing throughout the year in local, county, regional and national team competitions.
Squash At LSTc
Squash has been a pivotal part of LSTC since the courts first opened. Since that time, many changes and improvements have been made to ensure that our members get the best experience when they play at the club. What has not changed is the strong sense of community that our squash members share.
We have two spectacular courts housed in a standalone building adjacent to the main clubhouse. The courts were fully refurbished in December 2021 and remain at an incredibly high standard for play now. There is a viewing gallery above both courts, two shower and changing rooms, as well as toilet facilities independent of the main club house.
CAFE & Bar
The Clubroom has always been our social hub and for many years a great area for all members and guests to enjoy time to relax and socialise.
We are lucky enough to have a very large clubroom with ample seating for dinning as well as lounging and a beautiful patio area which overlooks our fantastic outdoor tennis courts.
The Clubroom is easily assessable for wheelchair users and spacious. On site we have toilets and changing facilities along with child highchairs. Dogs are allowed to join you on the patio area providing they are always kept on a lead and well behaved.
Non-members are also welcome through the week to enjoy hot and cold drinks, hot food as well as a range of alcoholic beverages and craft beers.
gym At LSTc
We believe our gym is the perfect space to enjoy a workout, soaked in sunlight with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the outdoor tennis courts, and beautiful exposed wooden beams.
We offer a good range of strength and conditioning equipment, cardio, and free weights. Our gym membership is competitively priced, flexible and all members are entitled to a FREE fitness test and gym induction when joining.
We have recently invested heavily in new flooring, new gym equipment and redecorated the entire area. We invite you to see for yourself what is on offer and start your new health and wellbeing journey with our support.
